Three train Franchises operate services which stop at Dore and Totley station. These are Northern, TransPennine Express and East Midland Railways.
All the services call at Manchester Piccadilly and Sheffield and several of them further afield. Northern run the local service which normally calls at all the stations in the Hope Valley and several of the stations in Greater Manchester.
TransPennine Express and East Midlands services only call at a few of the stations between Dore and Totley and Manchester but are therefore quicker. These services normally use the line as part of a longer journey e.g. Liverpool to Norwich.
During the Coronavirus crisis there have been several versions of the timetables on the railway including the Hope Valley line. To get up to date timetable information you can use one of the online timetables. These are at:-
- Northern Timetable (route 23 Hope Valley Line)
- TPExpress Timetable Manchester Airport to Cleethorpes
- East Midlands Liverpool to Norwich(Timetable 2)
- There are various sites which provide times for journeys between any two stations in the country e.g. National Rail
Some journeys may be affected by engineering work. These are more likely to occur in the evening, weekends and bank holidays. If travelling at these times you can use one of the journey planning tools to see if your journey will be affected by engineering works. These will typically provide times, routes, changes and prices across several operators if necessary. Examples are:-
