A small committee is working to develop this group. It aims to encourage and assist improvement to the services and facilities provided at our local station, and it's immediate surroundings. They have been badly neglected for over 50 years. There is a constitution, a copy of which can be downloaded from the link above.
Despite the few trains that stop, user numbers are increasing rapidly from 55k in 2004/5 to 178k in 2017/18. These are estimates based on ticket sales. Regular users know that revenue collection is well below 100% due to practical difficulties issuing and checking tickets, both into and out of Sheffield.

Our actions may include any or all of the following:
- Monitoring the Hope Valley Capacity Scheme improvements for Dore & Totley station, and for the entire line. These are due for completion by December 2022. We trust they won't be paused. The full capability of the line to provide additional services will not be available until they are. Ideally we'd like there to be hourly slow and fast services to Sheffield and Manchester.
- Taking all possible steps to ensure facilities for passengers at Dore are improved. Covered waiting areas, additional parking, better ticket issuing equipment, and better customer information are just a few of our desires.
- Doing what we can to ensure the surrounds of the station are kept in good order and all development is sympathetic to its surroundings.
FoDaTS is a member of the Association of Community Rail Partnerships. More information about the station can be found at Dore_and_Totley_railway_station.
